Butoh dancer Takai Tomiko (1931-2011), who studied under Ohno Kazuo and Hijikata Tatsumi, began her 'Metaphysical Emotion' series in 1967 under Hijikata's direction. Takai presented 'Part II' in 1986, and continued the series for the rest of her life. 'Dew of a Wildflower' is 'Part V', and was performed in Frankfurt and Paris. Several characters make an appearance in the work, including a fiancée, a pregnant woman and an old woman looking back on her past.
