Overview

Furukawa Anzu moved to Berlin in 1991, and taught at the Braunschweig University of Art until 1996. Based on Kafka's "The Metamorphosis", this work is a compilation of works Furukawa created for her students. The title "Verwandlungsamt" is derived from the original German title of Kafka's book "Die Verwandlung" and the word "Amt", meaning administrative office, management bureau or government office.
